Oregon Moving Companies Quotes
Working with an Oregon moving company is a fantastic idea if you want your experience to go as well as it possibly can. You may assume that all you have to do is get a quote and then book a time, but there are some other steps you may want to take. This is an event in life that most people want to go as smoothly as possible.
The tips below will help you get prepared before your big day arrives:
- Gather the Keys
Make sure that you have all the keys that you need for your new place. If you are putting some of your stuff in a storage unit, you will need the gate access code and the key to your storage unit. Gather the garage door opener and door key for your new place and have all of that readily accessible for your move day. That is not a time to be scrambling around for keys.
- Activate the Utilities
Make sure you get all of your utilities and other household necessities turned on before you arrive in your new location. While this may not be a complete necessity, it will be one less thing you have to think about on moving day. The moment you know when you can move, call the city to get water, electricity, gas, cable, phone, and any other services you need turned on. Then you will be able to relax on your first night in the new place.
- Skip the Small Loads
Take some time to take some of the smaller loads of things you don’t need over to the new place on your own. Some companies will take a long time to help someone because they have to make repeated trips in a house for small items. If you can run items over in your car, do so. If you are going a longer distance, try to pack as much as you possibly can and put it by the door.

History
Established in 2005 My husband has been a mover for 16 years. He told me of all the positives and negatives of the industry. We decided with my degree in social science and work with d.v survivors, and his moving skills, we had a great combination of customer service knowledge. A special insight. We offer a safe, efficient, move. We understand the stress, and fears associated with moving; we are here to help. All of our Team Members are sensitivity trained. That is, they know where the fear, and stress come from and how to help. We know each and every customer has a unique history or herstory. We just want to help you have a safe, successful move -- available to everyone, anyone, every time.
Meet the Business Owner: Dottie T.
Dottie is a graduate of PSU, with degrees in social science (women's studies, psychology) and has worked in business management, service industry, and a variety of social service settings -- for social change. She believes everyone has a right to a safe, efficient, cost appropriate move. She trains her team to be aware of the needs of others, to their concerns, wishes, and feelings. Her goal is to help eliminate "isms" (sexism, racism, ageism, etc) -- staring with educating her moving team. She actually is a mover -- as in desks upstairs, couches through doorways, etc -- a mover.
